Why this exists

PixelPals is a non-commercial project to let kids around the world enjoy the classic DOS games their parents grew up with — without ads, tracking, pop-ups, or sign-ups.

How games are sourced

Most games are embedded from the Internet Archive's MS-DOS library, which hosts them for in-browser play. Others are shareware or freeware episodes that the rights holders released for free distribution. Every game page shows its credit and a link back to the source.

We do not knowingly host copyrighted games ourselves. If you are a rights holder and want a game removed, please get in touch and we will act quickly.

Kids mode

When kids mode is on, the keyboard is limited to the current game's controls, the browser's right-click menu is disabled, and leaving a game takes a deliberate action (hold Esc for two seconds). It reduces accidents — but it is a helper, not a substitute for adult supervision.

Keeping it free

PixelPals runs on very low-cost infrastructure and stays ad-free on purpose. If you'd like to help cover hosting, a small donation link will live here — never a paywall.
